The Bottom Line

While I don't particularly like the lack of folders, I grudgingly admit that Google has created a pretty good web-based email service with Gmail. I particularly like the huge storage capability, which just encourages my pack-rattish tendencies. It's a worthy competitor for the more established MSN Hotmail and Yahoo! Mail services.

Tip

If you have an Internet-enabled cell phone or other mobile device, there's one more way to check your Gmail messages. All you have to do is point your phone's web browser to m.gmail.com, and follow the onscreen instructions from there.
