You can invoke sz with a special terminal test mode:
This form of invocation causes sz to output all 256 8-bit character code combinations to your terminal. If you are having problems transferring files intact, this command lets you isolate the character codes that are being trapped by the operating systems.$ sz -TT
Calling an RZSZ utility from most versions of the UUCP cu usually fails, because most cu implementations contend for characters from the modem with RZSZ tools. (C-Kermit apparently now can call RZSZ, but this is a new feature we haven't tried.)
