Downloading Google Maps and Directions on Your Mobile Phone

As we discussed in Chapter 18, "Using Google Maps," you can have Google maps and directions sent to your mobile phone. The mobile version of Google Maps is actually a Java application that you download to your mobile phone. Once downloaded, you can view full-screen interactive maps of any location (like the one in Figure 30.6), find and map local businesses and locations, display satellite images, and show detailed map-based driving directions.

To download the Google Maps application, point your phone's web browser to www.google.com/gmm.
