An extensive slide presentation on using Android in embedded systems is available for free download on the website of Free Electronics. The presentation provides an efficient technical introduction and overview of the process of developing embedded Android software, on both the OS and application levels.
Free Electrons developed the 255-slide presentation for use in a pair of one-day seminars it gave in France during Q4 of 2012. The presentation examines the potential benefits, constraints, and implications of using Android in embedded products, and outlines the process required for developing software on all layers of the Android stack.
The complete 255-slide presentation is available for download in several formats, here. The presentation is released under the Creative Commons Attribution – ShareAlike 3.0 license, which allows their reuse and modification under certain terms.
The seminar was conducted by Maxime Ripard, Free Electrons’s Android expert. Free Electrons, based in France, is a well-known provider of embedded Linux and Android training and consulting services.
